Love me on the weekends.
Love me when it’s hard.
Love me when I’m not perfect.
Love me at my worst and at my best.
Trust that my heart is good,
even when my mood is off.
Forgive me for my dark days,
and appreciate me during my sunny ones.
No one talks about the dependable one having a human moment.
The fall from a high pedestal
hurts far more than a stumble from a low bar.
Who does the dependable one lean on?
Who comforts the strong?
Who sees their kindness and doesn’t mistake it for weakness?
Who reminds them that they don’t have to carry it all alone?
And through it all,
give glory to God—
for the strength they never asked for,
the grace that keeps them standing,
and the faith that carries them when they’re too tired to carry themselves.
